Abicor Binzel contact tips are precision-engineered consumable components designed for MIG/MAG welding torches to deliver electrical current directly into the advancing welding wire. They are manufactured using a patented exact-drilling process to ensure a centered inner bore hole, which stabilizes the arc and minimizes wire-feeding friction.

E-Cu (Electrolytic Copper): Made from pure electrolytic copper with a hardness rating of roughly 110 to 115 HV. It offers the highest electrical and thermal conductivity but softens quickly at around 260°C. It is best suited for low-amperage applications and aluminum wire feeding.

CuCrZr (Copper-Chrome-Zirconium): A highly robust, harder alloy rating around 168 HV that maintains its structural integrity up to temperatures of 500°C. This is the industrial standard for medium-to-high amperage manual welding, liquid-cooled torches, and robotic welding lines due to its high wear resistance.

Aluminum Welding Tips (Alu): Marked with a specific internal ID prefix (such as 141.xxxx). They feature an inner bore hole oversized by roughly 0.2 mm to accommodate the rapid thermal expansion properties of aluminum wire without seizing up.
