An Abicor Binzel manual torch swan neck (also known as a torch neck) is the curved front piece of a MIG/MAG welding torch that connects the handheld grip to the consumables (tip, diffuser, and nozzle). It serves as the physical path for the welding wire, shielding gas, and high-amperage welding current, while its specific angle allows welders to access joints comfortably.
Ergonomics & Fatigue Reduction: Most manual swan necks are pre-bent at a fixed 50° angle, which provides an optimal working angle for flat, horizontal, and overhead welding without forcing extreme wrist posture.
Dual-Insulated Armouring: Built with heavy-duty copper, brass, or stainless steel tubes wrapped in high-dielectric, heat-resistant insulation to prevent electrical short-circuiting against the workpiece.
Internal Gas & Current Routings: Features isolated internal channels to handle power transmission and gas flow simultaneously. In liquid-cooled variants, it includes dual-circuit cooling lines running right up to the consumable seat to drop front-end temperatures.
Available as gas-cooled (using standard BIKOX cable assemblies) or liquid-cooled (e.g., MB GRIP 501 D) for high-amperage output.
