Kobelco - TIG Wire - ER90S-B91

Kobelco TG-S90B91 is a high-purity solid TIG (GTAW) welding rod belonging to Kobelco’s specialized TRUSTARC series.
It is engineered strictly to conform to the AWS A5.28 ER90S-B91 international standard.

Key Specifications & Applications
Target Materials: Specifically designed for welding Grade 91 (9Cr-1Mo-V-Nb) ferritic heat-resisting steels.
This includes ASTM A335 Grade P91 pipes, A213 Grade T91 boiler tubes, and A387 Grade 91 steel plates.
Chemical Strategy: Deposits a 9% Chromium and 1% Molybdenum matrix micro-alloyed with Vanadium (V) and Niobium (Nb).
Kobelco strictly restricts the Mn + Ni sum to ? 1.0% to prevent lowering the critical transformation temperature (Ac?), preserving premium long-term creep rupture strength.
Welding Parameters: Handled via Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW / TIG), operating on Direct Current Electrode Negative (DCEN) polarity using a 100% Pure Argon torch shield.
Common Use Cases: Widely deployed for critical root and fill runs in ultra-supercritical thermal power plants, high-pressure boiler headers, oil refinery processing units, and nuclear steam lines operating at 550°C to 650°C.
