StarBlaze MIG NiCrCu7 (commonly classified under AWS A5.14 as ERNiCu-7) is a premium, precision layer-wound solid nickel-copper alloy MIG welding wire. Often commercially referred to as Alloy 60 or Monel 60 filler wire, it is explicitly engineered for welding Monel 400 and related nickel-copper base metals to themselves, to carbon steels, or for applying corrosion-resistant overlays.
Core Product Features
“ERNiCu-7 is a premium nickel-copper alloy welding wire designed for applications that demand strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability. Commonly used for welding Monel alloys and similar materials...”
Porosity Control: Formulated with an intentional addition of titanium (~1.5–3.0%) which acts as a powerful deoxidizer to suppress porosity and gas pockets during the gas-metal arc welding process.
Marine & Acid Immunity: The dense nickel-copper structure provides exceptional resistance against pitting and stress corrosion cracking in rapid-flowing seawater, brackish salts, chlorinated solvents, and reducing acids.
Dissimilar Steel Bonding: Serves as a perfect mechanical transition wire for joining nickel-copper base alloys to pure nickel 200, copper-nickel configurations, or standard low-alloy structural steels.
Precision Feeding: Chemically surface-cleaned and layer-wound on standard industrial spools to prevent wire slipping, bird-nesting, or erratic arc delivery inside the torch liner.
AWS Specification: AWS A5.14 / A5.14M (Classification: ERNiCu-7)
EN ISO Specification: EN ISO 18274 (Classification: G Ni Cu 30 Mn 3 / UNS Alloy Number: Ni6060)
UNS Number: N04060
