StarBlaze SS316L series consists of premium, rutile-coated stainless steel stick welding electrodes (rods). Classified under AWS A5.4 as E316L-16, this electrode deposits a molybdenum-bearing, extra-low carbon weld metal matrix designed for welding matching austenitic stainless steel alloys exposed to aggressive corrosive environments.

    Core Product Features
Chloride and Acid Protection: The ~2.5% molybdenum alloy addition provides elite resistance against localized pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attacks in chloride-heavy or acidic environments.
Intergranular Corrosion Resistance: The extra-low carbon content (? 0.04%) prevents chromium carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries, preserving maximum corrosion protection in the heat-affected zone.
Controlled Ferrite Balance: Formulated with a precisely balanced chemistry to maintain a controlled ferrite number (FN 3–8), providing excellent resistance to hot cracking while keeping high low-temperature toughness.
Premium Operator Handling: Delivers a highly stable, soft fusion arc on both AC and DC systems with virtually zero spatter. Features a self-peeling slag system that leaves clean, finely rippled weld beads.

AWS Specification: AWS A5.4 / A5.4M (Classification: E316L-16 or E316L-17 depending on the coating)
    EN ISO Specification: EN ISO 3581-A (Classification: E 19 12 3 L R or E 19 12 3 L B)
    UNS Number: W31613
    Werkstoff Number (Europe): 1.4430
