StarBlaze TIG Wire ER385

STARBLAZE TIG 385 is a premium, high-alloy fully austenitic solid TIG welding rod formulated to join specialist high-corrosion alloys such as 904L stainless steel.
Complying with international AWS A5.9 ER385 specifications, it deposits a specialized 20Cr-25Ni-5Mo-Cu weld metal matrix.
Because its composition features extra-low levels of residual carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus, it limits the risk of hot cracking and micro-fissuring in non-magnetic fabrication.

Ferrite-Free Microstructure: Creates a fully austenitic weld deposit. It is specifically used when structural designs demand non-magnetic characteristics or delta-ferrite restrictions.
Severe Corrosion Defense: The molybdenum and copper additions provide world-class resistance to general corrosion, pitting, stress corrosion cracking (SCC), and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.

Compatible Base Materials
This filler rod is tailored to weld alloys operating in severe chemical or sub-zero zones:
Fully austenitic alloys like URANUS B6 and AISI 904L.
Dissimilar metal joints, such as welding 904L over to standard ASTM 304 or AISI 316 stainless steels where added boundary defense is required.
